Why can't I select a movie time?

Session times and session types are listed for your reference only. Please note the availability of tickets for those session times is not guaranteed.

We had an update to the One NZ movie programme in February 2022.

For Event Cinemas and Hoyts Cinemas instead of booking in to a particular movie session as you may have done in the past, you can now purchase movie vouchers to use at your chosen cinema instead. 

Purchasing vouchers gives you a lot more freedom. This means that if you have a change of plans, you’re still able to use your vouchers another time as they’re valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. 

If you’re buying voucher for an Event Cinema or Hoyts cinema, you’re able to use these vouchers to book online. 

If you’ve purchased vouchers for an Independent Cinema, unfortunately these can’t be used to book online and you’ll need to take them into the cinema to exchange for tickets.
